By: Sekou Kenneh-Opinion Leader
30 November, 2010
Ladies and Gentlemen, after carefully reading the
communication from both the secretary of the FELMAUSA's
Board of Directors Hon. Musa Fofana, and the secretary
general of FELMAUSA Hon. Phamolie M. Kromah, I have come
to realize that there's a need for the community to a
take a stand on the prevailing situation within the
Federation of the Liberian Mandingo Association in the
United States of America (FELMAUSA), in the interest of
peace in our community that we all endear.

Why reduce our organization to such a joke? A rebuttal
to an article on felmausa.org
By: Musa Sekou Fofana
29 November, 2010
I
was taken aback when I read an article on FELMAUSA
website captioned:
Financial malpractice looms $13k not
in FELMAUSA land. What was more troubling to me is that
the FELMAUSA leadership allows such damaging factor to
the fabric of our noble organization to make its way out
through the FELMAUSA website. Moreover, no Member of the
executive leadership of the organization; including the
President distanced themselves from it. At that point we
presumed that it was written under the blessing of the
executive leadership of FELMAUSA.

Liberia agrees deal with 'vulture funds'
Courtesy: BBC
24 November, 2010
Liberia
has reached a deal with two firms on debts dating from
the 1970s. The Caribbean-registered companies - Hamsah
Investment and Wall Capital - agreed that Liberia would
pay back just over 3% of the $43m (£27m) it owed. The
companies are among what critics call "vulture funds",
which buy up the defaulted debts of poor countries then
demand swift repayment. Liberia's Finance Minister,
Augustine Ngafuan, said the country would never again
build up such huge debts. Read
