FELMAUSA Board Chairman Hon. Abraham
Kromah Completes a Month long visit to Liberia By: The Board Secretariat 23 May, 2010 The Board would like to announce the arrival of the Chairman of the Board of Directors; Hon Abraham S Kromah back in to the country after a successful visit abroad. During an extra-ordinary section of the board, the Chairman brief the honorable member of the board on his visit and outline the many outreach and meetings he had while he was away. He expressed his gratitude to the Co-Chairman and members of the Board for the many updates while he was away. He then discussed the benefit of the private/ official visit with the members of the Board. While in Liberia, the Chairman met with several organizations including the Mandingo Caucus of Liberia, the Forum for the Advancement of the Mandingo people and their descents (FAM), The Concerned Mandingo Society of Liberia, and several other institutions. The Chairman had the opportunity to meet with the Muslim Students Association, most especially the beneficiaries of the FELMAUSA scholarship funds. The student thru the FELMAUSA representative Mr. Amara Kenneh presented an outlook of the scholarship program and provided an up to date status report to the Chairman. The Chairman promised the students that he would transmit their concerns to the Board and the executive leadership of FELMAUSA for possible consideration. The Chairman participated in the turnover of power of the Caucus from the Musa Bility administration to a code of officers headed by Mr. Fafine Kamara as the Chairman and Sekou Kromah as the vice chair respectively. Hon. Kromah used these occasions and ceremonies to communicate the need for a broader Mandingo unification of purpose and peaceful coexistence. During the ceremony, Hon. Kabine Ja’net underscored the need for a unified Scholarship program with one coordinating body. The Chairman again promised to convey this and other sentiments to the Board and the executive leadership. The Chairman also participated in several nationally televised forum gears towards addressing national security issues. A comprehensive report is being prepared for presentation to President Dukuly and the National Board of Directors. Hon. Abraham Kromah has since resumed his duty as chairman of the national Board of Directors of FELMAUSA. |
