FELMAUSA Conduct Silent Elections
By: Sekou Kenneh, Opinion Leader
29 June, 2011
Ladies
and Gentlemen of our noble Mandingo community, as we
approach the FELMAUSA's convention and elections 2011, I
humbly seek your permission to express my profound
disappointment and reservation about the operation and
the overall performance of the FELMAUSA national
election commission. Few weeks ago, fingers were pointed
at the SG of FELMAUSA Hon. Phamoli Kromah, for
periodically updating the community about the upcoming
FELMAUSA's convention and election 2011.

A rejoinder to Mr. Lassana Bamba's misguided remarks:
DELINQUENCY OR SUBSTANCE ?
By: Abdulaye Dukuly
22 June, 2011
I
read with utmost disbelief and frustration when someone
described the Bility campaign for being delinquent at
her campaign events. I know the author of that
particular script to be a man who has over the years
being a Mandingo announcer within and out of Liberia. I
don’t know where his allegiance belong when it comes to
electing the future president of Felmausa, but I clearly
know that he is pledging a blind allegiance based on his
regional affiliation.

front commanders –all determined to defeat one daring
foe. The forces at play are all gearing up for a
political engagement that portends to be grueling and
very challenging and would possibly leave the winner
with much cause for celebration given the toughness of

Damate Conneh Eyes Presidency
Courtesy: Public Agenda
11 June, 2011
“I
want Liberians to build a monument for me for taking
Taylor from here.” Those were the words of former rebel
leader, Sekou Damate Konneh, when he appeared before the
Truth & Reconciliation Commission public hearings in
2007. Believing that he could be awarded for taking
“terror” and “tyranny” away from mama Liberia, Damate
asked to be made president in 2005, but he lost at the
polls. Again in 2011, more heated than the 2005
elections, Damate Konneh is still eyeing the highest
seat in a country he believes he liberated from tyranny.

The Importance of Knowledge in Islam
By: Sheikh Mohammed Kanneh
07 June, 2011
Knowledge is better than wealth because it protects you
while you have to guard wealth. It decreases if you keep
on spending it but the more you make use of knowledge,
the more it increases. What you get through wealth
disappears as soon as wealth disappears but what you
achieve through knowledge will remain even after you.

TO HOLD AN ELECTED OFFICE IN FELMAUSA, YOU MUST BE A
COLLEGE GRADUATE!!
By: Cllr. Mameita Jabateh-Sirleaf
05 June, 2011
A
constitutional amendment in any given situation is by
the will of the people driven by a quest for change to
alter, modify, rephrase, or add to or subtract from (a
motion, bill, constitution, etc.) by formal procedure.
Amendments are made to change or improve the
constitution, in this case, for the better by removing
and/or correcting faults therein. In the past few days,
my phone continues to be bombarded with calls by people
concern about the COLLEGE DEGREE standard set forth by
the Election Commission for candidates vying for the
FELMAUSA presidency and the two vice Presidencies.

Raising Your Child to be a Muslim
By: Sheikh Mohammed Kanneh
01 June, 2011
Introduction: We can recall not too long ago in
our African/ Mandingo culture that all the grown-ups in
the community would take the role of guiders for the
youth. No child dared acting up in front of elders in
any gathering. All the elders held enough authority that
they could discipline the child without having to face
the wrath of the parents as is the case today, that is
what is call in local language “ Blah-koro” meaning
everyone discipline him.
