Burundi Based UN Staff, Mohammed
Kamara Arrives Today 25 July, 2010 Former
corporate America employee turned international UN staff; Honorable
Mohammed Kamara is expected to touchdown today at the Atlanta
international airport in transit to Dallas, Texas, where his beloved
family enthusiastically awaits his arrival. It can be recalled that the
former president of Orgtema and Mandingo community activist, Mr.
Mohammed Kamara gave up his lucrative IT job nearly 6 months ago to join
the United Nations’ family in helping to make the world a better place.
Mohammed Kamara currently works as a Technical Human Rights Database Manager within the Human Rights and Justice Division, with the United Nations Integrated Office in Burundi. Sources close to Mr. Kamara revealed that he will be in the US for only 30 days, a time barely enough for the energetic community leader to accomplish all of his unfinished business in the country. While in the US, Mr. Kamara is expected to hold consultative meetings with prominent community leaders, including Asumana Jabateh Randolph of LIMANY, Bangalee Trawally of OLM and the management team of the Mandingo Nations website and the Texas Mandingo community. He will also be meeting with members of the Liberia community in Dallas, the chairman and other relevant officials of the Sanniquille Mosque Project in an effort to bring that undertaking to a permanent close. Before his return, the outspoken UN staff and the father of two, Honorable Mohammed Kamara will visit his alma mater (University of Texas), to resume his MBA in International Relations and Diplomacy while away. In a brief Facebook chat hours before his departure from Burundi, Mr. Kamara said he was very eager to celebrate the July 26 holiday with his family. Please stay tuned as we catalog this rising international diplomat's progress! |
