The Jabateh and Toure families Thank the
Mandingo Community
31 July, 2010
On
July 29, 2010, reporters of the Mandingo Nations’ website were honored
by an invitation from the families of a sadistic shooting Mandingo youth
victim, Djebah Doe of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Upon arrival at the
family residence, our reporters were welcomed by the parents of the
recuperating teenager, Mr. and Mrs. Lassana Jabateh; the reporters were
then informed that the invitation was simply the family’s desire to
report the amazing recovery of their son to the Mandingo community after
major surgeries as result of the fatal shootings on July 20, 2010.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Djebah’s father, Mr. Lassana Jabateh
thanked the Almighty Allah for sparing his son’s life, and then
expressed his profound thanks and appreciation for the overwhelming
support and prayers shown by Mandingo communities all across the US and
the world at large.
“So many of you Minnesota Mandingoes visited and spent innumerable hours
with us at the hospital and upon our son’s safe returned, you have
literally turned our home into yours through your continuous visitation
in keeping with our son’s tragedy. My wife and I would like to thank the
Minnesota Mandingo community for the tremendous support. Most
importantly, we want to thank the hundreds of out state concerned
callers, including family members, relatives ,friends and well-wisher s
that have been calling from Africa , Europe and other parts of the
world”, Mr. Jabateh added.
Though the young adult, Djebah Doe was seen chatting, playing video
games with friends and escorting departing visitors up to the doorway,
indications of a speedy recovery, the family asks that community members
continuously keep their son, Djebah Doe in their prayers for a full and
faster recovery.
