The Kromah Campaign
Unveils New Communication Tool
By: The Kromah Campaign Staff
20 January, 2012
Early
morning on Friday, January 14, 2012, nearly 200 Minnesota
Mandingo community members were awaken by an audio/voice
messaging system recently acquired by the MMA presidential
hopeful, Hon. Kafumba Kromah for the purposes of
disseminating his campaign messages now and to be used later
as an alternative, or addition to the current text messaging
alert system used by our communities all across the U.S.
Although mass audio/voice messaging systems are frequently
utilized by numerous cities, counties and states all across
the US in emergency situations, this inexpensive low-key
technology seems amazingly brand new to the Mandingo
community, considering that no community organization has
ever utilized it. Unlike text messaging that is only limited
to cell phone users and those who are literate, audio/voice
messaging benefits all within the community, particularly
our older generation who can neither read nor carry cell
phones.
Currently, there are only 200 names and phone numbers
programmed in the system, while we aggressively seek more
numbers not only among Minnesota Mandingo but elsewhere
within the U.S. and Canada.
If all goes well, this latest information dissemination
strategy, now introduced to the Mandingo community by the
Kromah Campaign could very well prove to be the single most
powerful tool in keeping our people informed about variety
of community events, including graduation/birth
announcements baby naming ceremonies, community meetings,
crucial information/news from back home, and sadly, death
announcements as well.
What else? Well, the final product/master list, with as many
names and phones numbers compiled as possible could also
serve as a national DIRECTORY for the entire Mandingo
community in diaspora. We truly hope that other Mandingo
communities would follow our ingenuity.
God bless the Kromah campaign; God bless the Mandingo
community; God bless Liberia, and God bless the United
States of America.
Thanks!
