Irony of Prez. Sirleaf’s Latest
Appointments- Guinean Mandingo Heads Liberia’s Financial
SectorLibria's Finance Minister Designate Amara Konneh
By: Physue S. Kromah
29 January, 2012
Question
is his qualification or merit but not tribal identity.
Are the Mandingo surprise at the above statement from
other Liberians? That is the recipes of Liberian polity
ok. Tribal polity is all keeping Liberia and Liberians
backward, so I sometime regret to be a Liberian as a
Mandingo but we get long way at head of us in the
future, the just ended war in Liberia is the beginning
of another war for we Mandingo. So we all need to be
ready for this fight.

Another Season of Bigotry?
By :Nvasekie N. Konneh

Sometime
we take comfort in the fact that based on our collective
experience of the war and the hardship it has brought
upon us as a people and nation and the fact that many
Liberians, more than ever before, have traveled widely
and have become much more enlightened about the issue of
hate and bigotry and therefore embracing of the values
of tribal and religious diversity. But whenever a
Mandingo person is appointed to a key position in
Liberia, tribal hatred and bigotry have always raised
their ugly heads.

Is Democracy An Affront To Our
African
Culture Our The reverse?
By: Saliho A. Donzo
18 January, 2012

take a bit of introspection to some historical
backgrounds of the term democracy. Modern democracy
might have started with the a popular rebellion against
the monarchy in England (1642), which was brought to a
climax/highlight by the execution of King Charles
I…Later an inspiration led and guided largely by
political philosophers, notably the French philosopher
Montesquieu and Jean Jacques Rousseau, and the American
statesmen Thomas Jefferson and James Madison played
pivotal/key role in the fight to establish modern
democracy .
