FALMD Fetes and Certificates UL Graduates & Community Organizer
20 February, 2010
Monrovia……January 10, 2010…The Forum for the Advancement of Liberian Mandingoes & Their Descendants has held  an elaborate certification program for seven (7) of its members who recently graduated from the University of Liberia in various discipline ranging from Economics to Political Science as well as a community organizer

The ceremony which took place at the Organization’s Bardnersville Junction meeting ground brought together several important personalities including Dr. Augustine Konneh and Hon. Sam Mohammed Kromah amongst several others.

In a very moving and succinct speech   delivered by the Head of the Foreign Service Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Augustine F.  Konneh, he admonished the graduates to engage in meaningful activities that will bring pride and growth not only to the Mandingo and its descendant’s community but also to the Liberian nation as a whole. He said the graduates were just at the beginning of the defining moment in their lives and must not allow neither circumstances nor environment to limit them from becoming the shining stars and lights that the community and even the country expect them to be.

“You all are under moral obligation to contribute positively to the reconstruction process of our country which is currently undergoing national renewal”-said Dr. Konneh who served as the Guest Speaker of the occasion.

In a related development, Hon. Sam Kromah who made the presentation of certificates to the honorees re-iterated key points earlier made by the guest speaker and then spoke about the emotional intelligence of this illustrious academician and statesman who he considered as a mentor. On a separate note, Hon. Kromah congratulated the graduates and as well thanked FALMD for serving as motivational institution in the Liberian Mandingo and descendant community.
