OPEN LETTER TO ALL LIBERIANS
SUBJECT: WHAT DEMOCRACY?
BY: MUSA B. KEITA, BA, BSW, MSW, RSW
30 April, 2011
Dear
Fellow Liberians,
What have we learned from Years of: senseless ethnic
hatred and atrocities; political vampire--‐ism;
so--‐called “Congo and Country” ideation; junkyard
scrapping of our resources and infrastructures; and
massive loss of human resources through loss of life and
resettlement in foreign countries? I do understand,
after many years of deprivation in many sectors of
modern human civility in Liberia, we seem to be
generally anxious for magical transformation of our
society.

Changing political elites: not SOLUTION TO LIBERIA'S
PROBLEM’S
By : Chorphie Charlie
29 April, 2011
The moral decomposition which has taken hold of our
national journey creates wrestling thoughts, toward
maintaining the sacrifices of the suffering Liberian
majority, for peace and stability. No doubt, the
so-called Liberian educated class has normalized
political pathology as social goods for political power.

Liberia’s election of October 2011 draws near, the issue
of who will win the mandate of leadership for the next 6
years is paramount on the minds of every well-meaning
Liberian and friends of Liberia. Close to this issue is
the field of candidates vying for this honorable office.
Although there remain a plurality of candidates, with a
minimum of ten showing interest so far, the race has
truly and essentially been between three people:

Ivorian

the problems in his country where this week ex-leader

George Weah and CDC matters
By :Chorphie Charlie

Some of us cannot pretend towards the discomforting
political intolerance towards the Congress for
Democratic Change and the disconcerting angst against a
Liberian patriot, CDC Ambassador George Manneh Weah, who
only ambition is to exercise his natural and
constitutional rights; and obligations in service to his
people.

Ramadan should be declared as National holiday in
Liberia. One group of Liberian believes that declaring

Remarks by Mr. Abu Kamara at the FELMAUSA Medical
Mission Fundraising Program
By: Abu Kamara
07 April, 2011
From
the onset, let me convey on behalf of myself and my
family our heartfelt appreciation for this invitation to
participate in this history making event. For the first
time from our end, we are about to witness a great
humanitarian mission to our country which hopefully will
bring relief to hundreds of our people who are in
desperate need of assistance. The timing of this
FELMAUSA led medical mission could not have come better
when it is clear, that despite the numerous efforts by
the Government of Liberia to reach out to thousands of
vulnerable rural dwellers, there is still a lack of
resources to do so in a more effective manner.

Former
Labor Minister, Cllr. Tiawan Gongloe, has promised Nimba
youths to join their effort to remind President Ellen
Johnson-Sirleaf that there are more benefits than
backlashes if she implements the sealed report submitted
to her by the Special Presidential Nimba Land Dispute
Committee. Cllr. Gongloe said it was rather in the best
interest of Liberia’s peace and stability for President
Sirleaf to begin the implementation of the land
committee’s report, since she, in fact, has a working
tool to which neither her, nor the parties to the land
conflict, have expressed opposition.

Medical Mission Substitutes Constitutionality with
Popularity
By: Bangalee Trawally
04 April, 2011
It
seems that my Brother and Friend Abraham Kromah,
FELMAUSA’s Board Chairman is fighting a losing battle
with regard to this “Medical Mission” to Liberia. In a
very clear statement, it’s embarrassing to see us
(Mandingoes) going after each other negatively on the
Internet, and to the extent of posting on other list
serves as well as writing to the Liberian Embassy; in
other words, washing our dirty clothes in the public. I
think we are losing sight of our “standing” in the
Liberian community, how hateful our compatriots are
towards us.
