Police Seized 1,261 Single-barrel Shots in Paynesville Courtesy: Liberian Observer April 16, 2009  MONROVIA,At
least 1,261 rounds of single-barrel gun were seized by police upon tip
off in 72nd, Paynesville, Wednesday, with about five arrest made
including a female.Police spokesman, George Bardue told the Daily Observer that the rounds were hidden in cartons covered with bottles of gin and placed in six sacks. He explained that the 1,261 rounds were contained in 50 small boxes. All of those arrested were picked up from the crime scene, a house in the 72nd area, Bardue said. He explained that they were currently in
police custody undergoing investigation to establish the true owner of
the rounds and the intent of holding such quantity. |
